The General Syndicate of Jewellery Shop Owners (the Jordan Jewelers Syndicate) announces the reference price for jewellers across all governorates. The bulletin usually comes out in the morning and may be updated in the afternoon when the global price moves; none is issued on Fridays.
According to the syndicate, the price is the global gold price plus the import commission and the standards-institution fee, adjusted for karat and manufacturing cost. The syndicate has no website; it posts on Facebook and WhatsApp and Jordanian news agencies republish it.
